I offer expert installation of all types of lock, replacement, additional or upgrade. All types of door and window lock can be supplied and fitted to wooden, UPVc or metal doors and windows. Lock installation is carried out to the highest possible standard using the latest equipment. I carry in stock a comprehensive range of mortice deadlocks, sashlocks, nightlatches, digital code locks, replacement rimlock and euro cylinders. I only fit high quality products from trusted manufacturers such as Union, Yale, Kaba, Iseo and Lockey. All 5 lever mortice deadlocks I carry are BS3621 rated.
I pride myself on being a very neat and tidy professional and ensure the work area is left spotless. I regularly work on listed and historic buildings and always resect the aesthetics of the house, often fitting keyhole escutcheons and ironmongery to complement the existing door furniture.
I design and fit tailor made lock suites, with multiple locks keyed alike, minimising the number of keys which need to be controlled. I also fit master keyed systems and restricted key profile locks which cannot be duplicated by others. I install all types of bolts, security bolts and padlocks. I can provide new keys to existing locks for which the keys have been lost. When an ‘off the peg’ window lock is not suitable, often for antique metal framed stone mullion windows, I can design and fit bespoke window security systems which respect the windows’ aesthetics by fitting grub screws to secure the fasteners.

Security Surveys
I am happy to visit you for a small, refundable, charge and conduct a security survey. Many home insurance policies require 5 lever mortice locks to BS3621 to be fitted on external doors. A great many homeowners are unwittingly in breach of their insurance conditions by having inappropriate locks. I can quickly establish whether the existing locks conform to insurance provisions and offer advice on other security measures that should be considered.

Antique Lock Services
I regularly pick open, refurbish and cut keys to antique door and cabinet locks. Hand cutting keys ranging from large ‘Church’ keys to tiny cabinet keys in my workshop gives a new lease of life to a historic feature on the door of a period property or allows an antique cabinet or box to function again. I have a vast range of thousands of genuine antique key blanks dating back to the 1800’s which i use to match the aesthetics of the lock in question as closely as possible. I can fit new springs and refurbish the lock mechanism, re-paint and polish brass surfaces to bring the lock back to life.
